EUROFINS BIOPHARMA PRODUCT TESTING LEIDEN

Eurofins is a global leader in the TIC (Testing, Inspection and Certification) market and performs analytical services in various markets. Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Netherlands in Leiden deals with the testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, intermediate and finished products. To facilitate future growth and serve customers even more efficiently, Eurofins wishes to bring the two sites in Leiden together under one roof. To this end, we have designed a new building, at the Leiden Bio Science Park, the largest life science campus in the Netherlands, in Oegstgeest.

Eurofins wanted an office and lab environment that would “grow with them” and thus be future-proof. In our compact and thoughtful building design, flexibility, meeting and sustainable functionality come together seamlessly. The result is a highly efficient building that perfectly meets the needs of its users.

Form follows function

But how do we achieve such an efficient building? The volume is kept as compact as possible and there are as few exceptions as possible in the building structure. There is a smart separation between construction and incorporation, and unnecessary additions of materials are avoided. After all, we worked with the lab specialist to arrange the floors to create the largest possible generic lab floors. Within this, different lab layouts are possible and can be easily adapted again in the future.

In addition, the design creates a healthy working environment. With a floor-to-ceiling glass facade, daylight flows deep inside and there is always a view out to the outside from every workstation.

Community under one roof

The heart of the building is on the second floor, with a restaurant and meeting center that brings employees and visitors together. Whether for lunch, a formal meeting or informal consultations, meeting and connection are key. The restaurant extends to a green rooftop terrace, a place to have lunch or meetings outdoors, surrounded by nature.

Biodiversity & water management

Eurofins contributes to a sustainable living environment with the building. Rainwater storage is cleverly integrated into the parking lot under the building. The eye-catching green roof terrace on the second floor contributes to biodiversity on campus. Together with the champagne-colored facade, this creates a natural and modern look that fits the innovative environment of the Leiden Bio Science Park.
