New Agrico laboratory: start construction of innovative research facility

We proudly share the news that we have created the design for Agrico Research’s new laboratory! This innovative building, located in the Noordoostpolder, plays an important role in the research and development of high quality potato varieties. The design puts the focus on sustainability, innovation and functionality.

With the dismantling of the old building, we are now making room for a modern laboratory that is fully prepared for the future. The existing building no longer met today’s requirements, so it is being replaced by a modern laboratory that is fully prepared for the future.

The new building is flexible and sustainably designed. Thanks to a modular structure, laboratories and office spaces can be easily adapted or expanded. A generous interior street connects the existing and new facilities and forms a central meeting place where cooperation and knowledge exchange are central.

Through the use of natural materials, such as wood, and a smart layout, the building not only perfectly matches Agrico’s ambitions, but also a sustainable future. Construction will start this year and completion is scheduled for 2026. We look forward to sharing more details and progress in the coming months!
